Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Undertake supervised original research through field and/or laboratory practice;
2. Adequately review the literature related to the area of research;
3. Present a well-documented written scientific report;
4. Present a verbal summary presentation of the project;
5. Practice desirable work habits such as good management of resources, communication skills with supervisors and colleagues, carry out instructions, planning and timely execution of tasks;
6. Undertake project job with minimum super-vision.
The special project would embrace one of the study disciplines in agriculture through research, development and applications as appropriate to the need of the country within the time frame and the resources available. The project could be in any area of agriculture such as, soil science, crop science, animal science, agricultural economics, agricultural extension, crop diseases, crop pest and weeds, agricultural machinery/engineering, post-harvest technology, soil/water management, bio-technology and other areas of relevance.
