Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Gain and consolidate field experience in an area of interest and possible employment;
2. Appreciate the field application of the theoretical learning in the agricultural field;
3. Gain hands on experience in the agricultural based areas which they are not familiar with;
4. Participate in and appreciate the procedures and techniques applied in research institutes;
5. Learn and appreciate the level of management skills practiced at different levels of work/labour category;
6. Get exposed to new technology in the field of agricultural engineering.
Six months of field work in the second half of the third year programme. The students will be placed with various agricultural based institutions and industries either in extension, research, production or processing based areas.
The students activities will be monitored under the industries training programme which will be monitored by the department.
